Frequently Asked Questions
- What are locations and rooms?
- A location is a venue where your events take place, for example, “Local Theatre”. Each location can have multiple rooms or spaces, such as Main Auditorium, River Rooms, Rehearsal Room 1, or Performance Room B. This lets you run different events or sessions in different parts of the same venue and manage capacity independently for each room.
- What are sessions?
- A session is the actual event that takes place on a given date, for example, a workshop on Saturday 5th April or a performance on Friday evening. Each session has its own capacity, location, room, and facilitator.
- What are multi-sessions?
- Multi-sessions let you schedule more than one event on the same date. For example, a matinee at 2pm and an evening performance at 7:30pm would be two separate sessions on the same day. Each session can have its own capacity, location, room, and facilitator, giving you full control over your daily schedule.
- What counts as an active session?
- An active session is any scheduled session within the current billing month that is open for bookings or has attendees. Past sessions that have already taken place are not counted against your limit.
- What does the 2% + 15p per ticket fee cover?
- This is a small per-ticket processing fee applied when a booking is made. It covers payment processing and platform costs. There are no hidden fees on top of this.
- Can I run multi-date events?
- Yes, all plans support single-date events, consecutive date ranges (e.g. a 3-day workshop), and multi-date schedules (e.g. every Tuesday in March). You can assign different sessions, rooms, and facilitators to each date.
- What is a facilitator?
- A facilitator is anyone leading or managing a session: an instructor, performer, speaker, or workshop leader. Growth and Pro plans let you assign facilitators to sessions so you can track who is running what, and manage their schedules.
- Is there a contract or commitment?
- No. All plans are monthly rolling: cancel at any time. If you choose annual billing, you save 2 months and can cancel at the end of the annual term.
- Do I need WooCommerce?
- The core events module works as a standalone WordPress plugin. WooCommerce checkout integration is available as an optional add-on if you want to process ticket payments through your existing WooCommerce store.
